Design & Project Management

Thoughtful and thorough construction planning and preparation are critical elements to ensure success of a project. At Bill’s Contracting LLC, we will provide you with a creative design tailored to your specific requirements. We believe that the most important thing to do is “Listen” to our customers so that we capture all of their ideas. We want to exceed your expectations and make your dreams come to reality.

Project Development
The construction project manager and client discuss the scope of the project, budget requirements, timelines and special needs. Additionally, we will discuss lifestyle patterns such as the desire for incorporating sustainable, eco-friendly materials into the building project. At every turn Bill’s Contracting and Remodeling will attempt to meet or exceed client expectations within the budget and timelines framework.

Current Environment Assessment
On new construction efforts, the project manager will obtain information about the building site such as its physical size and any possible constraints/issues. Additionally we measure and take photographs of existing structures and natural features, and incorporate all of this information into the overall construction plan.

For a renovation and remodeling projects, in addition to performing the services rendered for new construction, the designer will also measure-up and draw plans and elevations of the existing building.

Site Design
The project manager will be responsible for septic design, roadwork, utility access, and topographic surveys as required by the local, state or Federal authorities [per code]

Schematic Design
The designer develops one or two small-scale sketch proposals of the project which translate the program elements into architectural drawings.

Design Development
Once the client is satisfied with the design, Bill’s Contracting will provide a Design Development Cost Estimate to verify that the project remains within the client’s budget. Once budget is confirmed, the final size and form of the building is determined; materials, finishes and building systems (mechanical and structural) are integrated into the design.

The project manager will submit the necessary drawings and specifications to the appropriate authorities for approval, and represent the client at permitting hearings as necessary.
